Who We Are?

Custom Handcrafted Drumsticks

Pep Bassaganya (wood craftsman) has handed over the Tocsticks project to Xavi Rodríguez (drummer and wood craftsman), who combines his expertise to create quality drumsticks—designed by drummers, for drummers.

Our goal is to offer high-quality drumsticks by personally overseeing every step of the process, ensuring a premium product at an affordable price.

MATERIALS

HICKORY: Native to the United States, this tree provides the most widely used wood for drumsticks. Its excellent balance of hardness and flexibility absorbs significant impact, helping to reduce hand and wrist fatigue.

QUERCUS: A Mediterranean tree highly prized for its density, which allows for the creation of stiffer, more powerful drumsticks. They offer greater volume and definition, as well as a much longer lifespan.

Custom Handcrafted Drum Kits

DMJ Drums specializes in manufacturing handcrafted drum kits and snare drums. Since 2009, Xavi Rodríguez has been crafting them entirely by hand in Girona. They are built directly from natural wood planks—selected in our workshop based on grain, density, and color—to achieve the desired look and sound.
